We have just what you need for your next event! Grove Camp is located 12 miles east of Cottage Grove, Oregon on 104 acres of majestic forest land with a half mile right on the beautiful Row River. We’re the perfect venue for youth camps, outdoor schools, retreats, business seminars, leadership training, family reunions and more! With activities like swimming, zip lines, basketball, volleyball, rock climbing, horseshoes, fishing, table tennis, hiking, kayaking, biking and water skiing at nearby Dorena Lake (3 miles) we’re sure to make your event memorable. We strive to keep our rental rates as low as possible to best serve the community.
Sherwood Smith Lodge
The Sherwood Smith Lodge can serve 180 guests. This is where food service and dining takes place at Grove Camp. Also inside is two lofts for lodging and a stage for performance. Inside is both male and female bathrooms with showers.
George White Conference Room
The Conference Room is a brand new building for meetings. Seats up to 50 people. Heated and air conditioned. Great for conferences and movies.
Jim Hemenway Pavilion
The open air pavilion is a desired location in the summer to hold services, skits, games and more. Being open on three sides, the pavilion stays cool, yet provides cover from the weather. Inside is both male and female bathrooms, a large stage, overflow cabin space and basketball hoops. Great meeting area for groups of 70- 250 people.
Richard Cook Recreational Center
The RCRC is on one side a heated large, high ceiling gymnasium. Connected through a door is the Recreation building: Ping Pong, Billiards, Air Hockey, Foosball and snack shack. Also a great meeting area for up to 250 people.
Cabins
The Grove Camp has 10 cabins with a total capacity of 170+. They are all equipped with heat and all rooms have bunk beds with 1 bunk having a full size bottom bunk.
RV Camping
With 36 water and electric connections, we’ve got the space to flexibly accommodate your needs.
Team And Faith Building Obstacle Course
A 12 station low-ropes course designed to help build faith and team building for youth and adults alike. A great place to bring a team to build continuity amongst the group. The obstacle course is included in the rental of the camp. We provide you with instructions to run it. You can also rent just the obstacle course for growth groups where we provide the staff to run it, and we put you through a series of team building activities. Call for pricing! Giant Open Fields
Grove Camp has two large play fields that stay green year round. Also included in the fields is fire hoses for games and a volleyball area. Also a great area for meetings, Slip n Slide and games. Big Open Areas for games and recreation suitable for all activities like; swimming, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, fishing, table tennis, hiking, kayaking, biking and water skiing at nearby Dorena Lake (3 miles).
Hiking Trails
Grove Camp sits along 106 acres of both wooded area and river front area. From one of our hiking trails you travel along the river in a beautiful wooded area. The Hill Climb takes you up into a new tree area where you can look down to the Dorena Lake. Also connected to the property is the Row River Bike and Hiking Trail which takes you around the lake and all the way down to Cottage Grove.
Play Ground
The new playground facility features a very large play structure complete with swings, a tire swing, monkey bars, climbing wall, spiral slide, chalk board, pirate’s nest and more. There is also a 4 swing commercial grade swing set in the playground area.
Row River
The beautiful Row River runs through the camp property. On the river we have an “Awesome” swimming area. With a sandy bank and gradual depth river it provides a safe yet fun place to swim and compete on the plastic, padded log roll.
The Climbing Wall
The auto-belaying rock climbing wall has three courses on it. The first side is the easy side, which has a very high success rate. The medium side is conquered by a select few. The hard side of the wall is conquered by almost none. All are a blast to attempt, and very safe!
Camp Fire
The camp fire has circle seating for up to 200 people. Nestled in the wooded area, the camp fire provides a memorable place to hold campfire skits, worship and classes.
Sidewalks
All of the Grove Christian Camp buildings are accessible by concrete sidewalks. You do not have to walk in the mud to get from place to place, making Grove Camp a great place to hold camps in all seasons.
